Scholarships
The Department of Theatre and Dance and the College of Fine Arts offer a number of scholarships and awards on a competitive basis to undergraduate and graduate students. Scholarships/awards are given to students who have demonstrated artistic and academic excellence. Financial need is considered, but is not the deciding factor. The scholarships are awarded in the Spring for the next academic year. For information on the departmental scholarships, please check with the advisor in Theatre or the advisor in Dance.
Due to the limited number of scholarships available in the Department of Theatre and Dance, all applicants to the department are strongly encourage to apply for the university-awarded scholarships. New Mexico high school graduates are eligible for the Lottery Scholarships, out-of-state transfers can apply for the Amigo Transfer scholarships; in-state residents who attended college out-of-state, but are now returning may apply for the UNM transfer scholarships.
