Course requirements in the B.A. in Dance support a broad range of knowledge in the field, embracing various elements that are the foundation of an informed practitioner in dance. In addition to technique classes, the program requires cultural awareness, creative skills, teaching practice, and physical science classes to give the student knowledge of how the body works, how to teach this to others, and how dance is linked to cultural context on a global scale.
