Extended University CLICK HERE FOR COURSE LISTINGS ACADEMIC CALENDAR

Klauer CampusThe UNM Extended University Taos Center offers a bachelor's degree program in University Studies (BUS) and master's degree program courses in Educational Leadership and Public Administration. Many other courses are offered in various subject areas. Please see the current course listings. Options for the Center's students to access upper-division and graduate-level courses include online and Independent Study through Correspondence courses.

If you have been attending UNM-Taos or another two-year college, you will need to make several adjustments when entering a Bachelor’s completion program through UNM Extended University-Taos. Admission, tuition and fees are features of your program that will be substantially different from the two-year college. Bachelor’s completion programs and Graduate programs are, for the most part, Main Campus programs offered on a different campus - sometimes at a UNM branch or another host college.

Cost - TUITION & FEES
We begin with the costs because they are always a major concern for students. The low tuition students have enjoyed at the two-year colleges is subsidized by local property taxes. The Graduate and Upper Division Programs are unable to draw on local property taxes. Students will be charged the same tuition and fees as students at the UNM Main Campus.

*All tuition and fees must be paid in full prior to the payment deadline dates.

Admission
Students apply for admission to upper division status at the Extended University office in Taos.If a student wishes to apply to a graduate program or a program not offered in Taos, they must visit an advisor and apply at the specific department at Main Campus. Students not wishing to obtain a degree can apply for admission in non-degree status. Please contact the Extended University office for assistance with applications and forms.
