UNM-Taos:

Now offering a two-year Nursing Program leading to an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN-RN) after the completion of pre-requisite courses. Upon completion of the program, the student will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nursing (NCLEX-RN) in the State of New Mexico.

The nursing curriculum at the University of New Mexico-Taos offers a career mobility format which prepares students for beginning nursing practice in a variety of health care settings. After completion of the Associate Degree in Nursing, the student may continue to a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN) Program offered on line at various four year Colleges and Universities.

Program Intent:

The Intent of the Program is to prepare, educate and support successful Nursing Professionals in a multicultural setting at UNM-Taos in Northern New Mexico.

Program Mission:
The UNM-Taos ADN-RN Program develops Health Care Professionals to be clinically competent and culturally sensitive in delivering Nursing care to clients in a rural setting.

Program Vision:
Promoting excellence in educating responsible, competent and caring RN’s in Northern New Mexico.
