The Center for Faculty Development will be responsible for improving pedagogy at UNM-Taos by developing a pedagogical library; reviewing syllabi and course materials; conducting in-class evaluations of instructors; and developing opportunities for technology-based course delivery. (60) The Center will oversee professional development activities for faculty that will improve instruction and assessment of student improvement and program outcomes. (61) Specific objectives of the faculty development program will seek to improve student satisfaction with academic programs and instruction (Activity 3, 6A); increase the percent of students participating in academic advising (7a); increase student satisfaction with advising (7b); increase faculty competence in the use of instructional methodologies (8a); and increase student satisfaction with instructor methodologies.
