ScienceThe Academy of Holistic Health and Human Services prepares students for career opportunities and progression into an associate and bachelors degrees. We provide the foundational coursework for many career tracks requiring advanced studies, as well as a multitude of complete professional training programs allowing immediate transition into the workplace. Assisting people in developing their potential is the main focus of education, holistic health, and human service related fields of study.

We promote cultural awareness, respect of diversity, and compassion for all, as core values. We emphasize the balance of body, mind, spirit, and encourage lifelong learning. These values are integral to education and cultivation effective and sensitive human service educators and providers. Students in the Academy prepare for professions in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Conflict Resolution and Mediation, Holistic Health and Healing Arts, Substance Abuse Counseling, Integrative Massage Therapy, Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice and Paralegal Services.

Individual introspection and growth are encouraged through various integrative health and wellness courses including Massage Therapy, Tai Ji, Qi Gong, Mediation and Creativity, Reiki, Yoga, Art and Healing, Emotional Healing, and more.

MassageUNM-Taos is excited to present an Integrative Massage Therapy Program designed for students seeking an opportunity to become a licensed massage therapist in the State of New Mexico. The program’s mission is to offer an integrative and holistic approach to massage therapy while gaining a strong basic knowledge and experience so that upon graduation and successful completion of the program you can obtain your license to practice massage therapy. We are offering a basic program of 650 hours and an advance certificate of 1000 hours. UNM-Taos is dedicated to guiding you through process so you will be prepared to successfully take one of the national exams and aid in obtaining employment as a massage therapist.
The 650 Certificate in Integrative Massage Therapy is designed for individuals who would like to sit for the state licensure exam which is required for entry-level employment in massage therapy. The 650 hour program meets the minimum requirements to sit for the licensure exam. Formal application and acceptance into the program is required before enrolling in class with a MAS prefix.

The 1000 program combines the 650 program with the requirements for a Certificate in Holistic Health and Healing Arts in order to complete the requirements.
