Bikes and Buses
Albuquerque weather, the city bike path system and UNM's park-like campus make bicycling an ideal alternative to driving. Bike maintenance is available on campus through Recreational Services.Free racks are located throughout campus and a limited number of bicyle lockers are available for a nominal fee. To inquire about locker availability, call 277-0461.
UNM students can use the city buses, ABQ Ride, to commute to and from campus for free starting August 20, 2007. Just show your UNM ID with a current Lobo Ride Passsticker attached. You can get your bus pass at the UNM Bookstore or the SUB with your Lobo ID. Discount passes are available for UNM faculty and staff. Bus routes and schedules.
Parking
If you decide to bring your car to campus, you'll have to purchase a parking permit.
- All residence hall parking permits cost $220 per year.
- Purchase your permit online after you receive your assignment letter. You'll receive your purchased permit in your SRC box.
- Available lots are D, R, E, and S (structure).
- Parking areas adjacent to the residence halls are for residence hall students only.
- Park in designated spots only.
- You must turn in your permit if you move out of the residence halls before the semester ends.
