What Should You Bring?
In addition to your usual personal belongings, you'll need a few items:
  • Bedding for an 80" extra-long twin bed (sheets, pillows, blankets)
  • Towels & wash cloths
  • Hangers, shoe rack, and shelf/drawer liners
  • TV, CD player/sound systems
  • Computer, printer cable, and perhaps a laptop lock (or you can use computer labs)
  • Surge protected power strips and extension cords
  • Alarm clock
  • Coffee maker
  • Cell phone (landline phones available for rent)
For Apartment Style Halls
  • Pots & pans
  • Dishes
  • Cooking utensils
  • Silverware and glasses
  • Small cleaning equipment and supplies (You can check out vacuum cleaners and brooms at the front desk)
Your new apartment mates/roommate may bring some of these items, so you might want to coordinate! Call 505-277-2606 or email the Housing Office to find out who your roomates will be. Assignments are mailed out one day prior to the July 4th holiday.
Optional Items
  • Small refrigerator and/or microwave for traditional halls
  • Things to personalize your space: throw rugs, pillows, plants, posters
  • Headphones or earplugs
  • Umbrella and snow boots (we get 300 days of sunshine in Albuquerque, but it does on occassion rain or even snow)
  • Favorite snacks and drinks, from Ramen to Red Bull
Many items are available to rent, including refrigerators, space heaters, and landline phones.
