Refrigerators

You can rent a compact refrigerator, if available, for a semester or an academic year (Fall and Spring semesters).

• Refrigerators cost $40 for one semester or $55 for the academic year including a $10 refundable deposit
• Sign up and pay by cash or check at the Housekeeping Department located in the Student Residence Center (SRC), Room 203
• Get your deposit back, in cash, at the end of the rental period, by meeting all contract terms and returning a properly cleaned, undamaged unit.

Portable space heaters or fans are also available with a signed agreement from the SRC Commons desk.

• Heaters and fans are issued for a two-week period
• You can renew the agreement, in person, if needed.
• There is no rental charge for a heater or fan, as long as you return the heater/fan on time

Bunk beds and lofting kits are available on a limited basis by request.

• They are not available if you live in a single room or an SRC apartment
• We will publish a deadline 2-3 weeks into each semester to request a bunk bed.
• Bunk beds will be installed during the week following the request deadline.
• Lofting kits are only available for residents of Redondo Village apartments.
• Rent these items at the SRC Commons Housekeeping Office, Room 203

Phones & Computer Hubs

You can rent standard landline phones for local calls and computer hubs at the SRC Commons Housekeeping Office, Room 203.

• You will need to use your own long-distance provider, purchase a calling card, or use your cell phone for long-distance calls; UNM Housing Services does not provide long-distance services.
