ResNet provides free computer support to current students living on campus. We support proper connectivity to the UNM network with safe, secure network access, Web browsing, and access to a safe, easy, and secure e-mail client.

Supported Operating Systems:

• Windows XP, Home & Pro Windows 2000, & MAC OS X.
• Transitional support for Windows Vista is limited as UNM ITS also has limited support for this early, and problematic windows release. Please contact OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) for warranty support.
• Support for Windows ME, 98, 95, NT 4, 3.1, and UNIX / Linux is not provided.

Resnet Does…

• Aid with connectivity to the university network, internet, and wireless.
• Aid with advanced spyware / malware and virus removal.
• Provide software and technical consultation.
• Aid in limited individual hardware maintenance and support.
• Aid in limited operating system troubleshooting and repair.

Resnet Does Not…

• Provide support on homemade "D.I.Y." PC systems or servers.
• Provide support with complete reformats, or complete windows reinstalls.
• Provide advanced support beyond basic troubleshooting and repair.
• Provide support after hours, please see posted office hours
• Provide support with 3rd party software and / or hardware Such as Printers, Scanners, Copiers, Game Consoles, TVs, Microwaves, Easy Bake Ovens, etc...
