Additionally large amounts of "pop-ups" are an excellent sign that some type of this software is installed on your computer. Kazaa, Weather Bug, Toolbars, or Browser Add-Ons are all programs that either are spyware themselves, or come bundled with this software. Spyware/Malware can even "hijack" your Internet connection and prevent you from doing anything. So your best bet is to protect yourself early before it happens!

There are a lot of services out there that will help you clean your computer of these kinds of threats. There are even a few programs out there that can aid you in the removal of malware. However some anti-spyware programs only serve to make the problem worse. If you have a computer savvy friend who can help you use one of our suggested programs, even better. But our office is here to help with limited removal of these threats. It is also recommended that you use Firefox to browse the web and install a firewall. Not only is Firefox a fast browser it will greatly reduce the amount of spyware/malware that your computer becomes infected with.

You can find many more tools on the Internet and through friendly recommendations that can do much of the same thing.
