Student Conference Employment
Conference Guest Services employs 4 to 5 Conference Coordinators and up to 32 other summer staff members each year. All positions are full-time and work between 30 and 40 hours per week.
- Conference Coordinators: Student supervisors who work with contacts for each conference group to ensure that their visit to UNM goes as expected. They also supervise conference assistants, cellar assistants and security aides.
- Conference Assistants: Staff the residence hall desks to take care of the guests' needs.
- Cellar Assistants: Responsible for setting up facilities and overseeing events that occur in our meeting areas.
- Security Aides: Provide 24-hour security for all our residents and conference guests.
- Office Assistant: Responsible for administrative duties in the Conference Office
Compensation for Coordinators includes room and board as well as a monthly stipend. Compensation for staff positions include a room in a traditional residence hall, $150 worth of meal points for La Posada, and an hourly wage.
