    CAPS Supplemental Instruction (SI)
    What is SI?
Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a series of weekly review sessions for students taking historically difficult courses. SI is for all students who want to improve both their understanding of course material and their grades. Attendance at sessions is voluntary. For students, SI offers a chance to get together with people in their class to compare notes, to discuss important concepts, to develop strategies for studying, and to test themselves before their professor does.

  • The UNM program in Northern Ireland is open to undergraduate and graduate students from all fields of study. UNM participants will visit with experienced youth workers working within and between the different traditions within Northern Ireland. The purpose of this study trip is to examine some ways in which youth work programs within and between the different communities in Northern Ireland have sought to promote work that addresses inequality, deals with violence and promotes community understanding and reconciliation and to critically reflect on what this means for work with young people associated with identity communities in New Mexico.

  • Raza Graduation not only recognizes the accomplishments of Hispano student graduates, but also allows them to recognize their family, friends, and others who have provided support and encouragement during their college years. It is by no means an alternative to UNM's general commencement exercises and/or any departmental exercises, but rather a personalized and cultural celebration. We also encourage students to participate in their specified commencement. We are extremely proud and would like to recognize students' accomplishments during Raza Graduation.

To celebrate your success, we would like to honor you on Thursday May 7, 2009 at the 17th Annual Raza Graduation. The graduation ceremony will take place at 5:30PM in the UNM Student Union Ballroom.

    Graduate registration begins at 4:30PM.
