• Amistades - Peer Mentoring Program
Amistades is El Centro de la Raza's peer mentoring program geared to matching first-year and transfer students with upperclass and graduate students. Peer mentors are awarded points for participating in academic, cultural/personal and professional skills development activities. Peer mentors attend an Amistades Orientation at the beginning of the semester, monthly check-ins, activities to support their development as well as monthly logs. Peer mentors are awarded prizes monthly and at the end of each semester, the peer mentors with the most points will be awarded a scholarship.

Amistades is currently closed for Fall 2009, please contact El Centro de la Raza at elcentro@unm.edu to be added to the waiting list for spring 2010.
